📋 Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how PH Budget Tracker ("the App"), developed by Carlo Fabon, handles information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to the Android application available on Google Play.

📊 Data We Collect

We collect absolutely no personal information. The App does not require:

• Account registration or sign-in
• Email address or phone number
• Name or any personal identifiers
• Location data
• Device identifiers beyond standard Android permissions

All data you enter into the App (transactions, account balances, budgets, loans, savings goals, etc.) is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export a backup file.

🔐 Data Storage & Security

All financial data entered into PH Budget Tracker is stored locally on your Android device. We use Android's standard SharedPreferences storage system, which is sandboxed and accessible only to the App.

The App offers an optional PIN lock feature to protect your data from unauthorized access on shared devices. This PIN is also stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

The App also provides an optional backup/export feature that saves your data as a JSON file. This file is saved to your device's storage and is under your full control. We do not receive or have access to any backup files you create.

🌐 Internet & Network Access

PH Budget Tracker is designed to work fully offline. The App does not make any network requests, connect to any servers, or send any data over the internet during normal operation.

The only exception is the optional daily reminder notification feature, which uses Android's local notification system — no internet connection is required for this feature either.

📱 Android Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send daily expense reminder notifications. No data is transmitted; notifications are generated locally on your device.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (on older Android versions) — Only used for the optional backup/restore feature. This allows you to export or import your budget data as a file on your device.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Allows the App to reschedule local notifications after your device restarts. No data is collected or transmitted.

No permission is used to collect, access, or transmit personal data to any third party.

🤝 Third-Party Services

PH Budget Tracker does not integrate any third-party services such as:

• Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Crash reporting services
• Social media SDKs
• Cloud storage or sync services

The App is distributed through Google Play, and Google's own privacy policy applies to the Play Store distribution process. The App itself does not communicate with any external servers.

👶 Children's Privacy

PH Budget Tracker does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data from any user, it is safe for users of all ages. The App does not contain any advertising or in-app purchases.

✏️ Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Since the App collects no personal data, any future changes to this policy are unlikely to affect your privacy in a significant way.
